Canada became the first country outside of the US to host the All-Star event. Toronto is friendly and very international, but also very cold in February! We learned a few new tricks for successful implementation in cold weather. With events happening at the Air Canada Center and Ricoh Center, 2 full arena venues have become the new model for All-Star. We worked with a local lighting group adding brightness and focus to key areas – especially effective on long winter nights up North. We carried off the full concept to completion service for this project – surveying, designing, sourcing local vendors, setting up and coordinating production and installation/removal. Canada is a very eco-conscious country and much of the decor was either recycled or repurposed setting a high bar for greening an event of this nature.
